Sioux Chief Offers Redesigned Push Tite
A new version of Sioux Chief’s Push Tite closet flange is available for purchase. This new version features a one-piece molded flange and a newly designed, three-fin elastomer gasket. The new Push Tite is designed to work with and install easily into any 4” pipe – including small inside diameter cast iron pipe. In addition, during repair installations, where the inner walls of the pipe have become corroded or have an uneven surface, the new gasket’s three points of contact help provide a positive seal. It also maintains a full 3” flow – something no other push-in flange can claim.
Fulton Introduces the Invictus Gas Absorption Heat Pump
Fulton’s Invictus gas absorption heat pump is incorporated and piped into a traditional hydronic heating system alongside either condensing or non-condensing boilers. Unlike other heat pumps on the market in North America that are primarily air handling products, the Invictus is a hydronic product. The unit uses an environmentally friendly solution, comprised of 2/3 water and 1/3 ammonia – a natural refrigerant, within a small closed system. Invictus models include air source units, which extract energy from the outdoor air, ground source units, which pull energy from the earth via geothermal wells, and water source units, which remove energy from a local body of water. Additionally, Invictus units have both heating and cooling capabilities.
American Hometec Introduces Tankless Water Heater Featuring Coilless Technology American Hometec’s Model AHQ-C10 electric tankless water heater for low-flow multi-lavatory and single use applications features the company’s patented Coilless Technology, which eliminates limescale buildup. The C10 comes with three capacity settings in one unit, which allows for adjustable power consumption and energy saving optimization. The C10 unit is suitable for all water conditions and provides an unlimited supply of hot water, heating water only on demand for increased efficiency and water conservation, making it perfect for low flow multi-lavatory and single uses such as sinks in lavatories, restaurants, schools, labs and hotels. The Coilless Technology heats water indirectly with specially processed high-quality quartz tube heating technology. Because there are no coils, the electric components are never in direct contact with the water being heated, preventing accumulation of lime scale inside the unit.
Rheem-Ruud SPIDERfire Commercial Water Heater Offers 95% Efficiency
Featuring a unique multi-leg heat transfer system, the new Rheem-Ruud SPIDERfire line of condensing-type commercial water heaters offers a wide range of Btu inputs, all with ultra-high thermal efficiencies from 92 to 95%. The result is a higher recovery rate – particularly during periods of heavy usage. The new SPIDERfire is engineered to deliver substantial amounts of hot water to meet the needs of larger commercial applications, such as restaurants, office buildings, schools, retail stores, and the like. The most powerful unit in the series, with an input of 350,000 Btu per hour, can deliver 460 gallons of water per hour at a 100°F rise. Lower-input models – 130,000, 160,000, 199,000, 250,000, and 300,000 BTU/hour – are also available.
Harness the Power of the Sun with FlexSure
The Titeflex Corporation announces their newest division, FlexSure. The FlexSure system is a safe, efficient, and time-saving method of connecting solar panels and a hot water storage tank. It features corrugated, semi-rigid 316L stainless steel tubing as well as a full range of accessories including a series of patent pending fittings featuring a dependable, multipoint seal. The highlight of the FlexSure product line is the Dual Solar Tubing. The two flexible stainless steel tubes come pre-insulated with elastomeric EPDM insulation and a UV-resistant covering. By combining the supply and return lines in one easy-to-separate enclosure, installation time is cut in half.
Bell & Gossett Introduces Flow-limiting Valves for Small Coils
Two new low-flow automatic balance valves featuring a unique field adjusted cartridge that allows the user to select exact flows for specific applications has been introduced by Bell & Gossett. The Low-Flow Circuit SentryTM and the Low-Flow Wye-Strainer are designed for automatic flow limiting style balancing of both HVAC cooling and heating circuits. Ideally suited for small coils that keep constant fluid flow, the Circuit Setter valve automatically compensates for fluctuating pressure conditions. Small and compact for tight spaces, the Circuit Setter valve features an integrated P/T port with space saving tee- handle shutoff, an optional P/T port for flow verification, and a union-ended tailpiece for quick installation and maintenance.
McDonnell & Miller Announces New Low-Water Cutoff/Pump Controller
McDonnell & Miller announces the new Series 1575 Low-Water Cutoff / Pump Controller.
